A Warm Debate,
The discussion at the regular
meeting of the Debating "club last
Saturday evening was the most
spirited one that has taken place for
some time. The question was: Re
solved, That the two cent railroad fare
bill should become a law of Pennsyl
vania. McCready and Borland,
who took the place of Messersmith,
who was absent, defended the ques
tion; and Runk and Tomlison were
on the negative. The affirmative
was awarded the decision. Bor
land talked on pailiamentary law
and Rhoads on current events.
Braucher was reinstated on the
inter-collegiate debating team as he
has found that he can give the
necessary time to the work. The

Natural History Club.
Two very interesting addresses
were made before the club at the
meeting last week. Mr. C. E.
Myers, ’OB spoke on “The Honey
Bee,” dealing more particularly up
on thestiuctural featmes of the legs
and wings, and also explaining the
internal parts of the sting.
“Nesting Habits of Biids” was
the subject chosen by Mr. J. K.
Musgrove, ’O9, and he told of many
ingenious devices by which biids
build, and often conceal their nests.
A field class is' being formed to
study our native birds during the
spiing months.
