Open Letters The STATE COLLEGIAN invites letters, but the publication of a communication does not necessarily imply the endorsement of the sentiments contained therein. As a guaran tee of good faith, the writer’s name must be signed, but will not be printed if so desired. Editor of Collegian:— The writer believes that the at tention of the students should be called to the habit, in our chapel services, of having all the dogs which can be persuaded to enter, take part in the exercises including the singing It may be thought that it is comfortable and pleasant for the dogs, but we have little doubt that they would prefer a large number of allowed absences the same as the students do. We believe that the practice is a bad one for students and dogs alike, and believe that if the men who are responsible would consider how it looics to visitors, especially at the Sunday services, the dogs would be kept outside where they belong. Junior Orators The following juniors have been selected as orators to take part in the annual contest next commence ment : Harvey Milton Braucher, William Francis Wentzel, Alexander Mcllhatten Myers, C. R. Blanchard, David B. Landis, David Franklin Evans. Alternates: Clarence Sauder Snavely, Joseph Donald Wood ward, Mark Boyer Gerhard, CAMPUS TALK A sharp pencil is sure to make its mark in the world.
