Varsity Squad Chosen
From a turnout of over one hun
dred baseball candidates the varsity
squad has now been reduced to
forty players. This weeding out
has been necessitated by reason of
the lack of sufficient working space
on the Armory floor as well as the
lack of time for practice work pre
vious to the first game of the season.

work by “Rube” Bressler, William
sport’s great pitcher and hitter.
Captain Mason is looking after the
infield candidates, while “Jimmy”
Sebring, Williamsport’s successful
captain-manager, and a former
league star, will be here within ten
days to instruct the outfielders, and
lend a hand in batting practice.

everybody working with one end in
view prospects are good for a win
ning nine, notwithstanding the fact
that only three varsity players re
main from the 1906 team.
