    Another All-PennsylvaniaTeam
The selection of an All-Pennsyl
vania eleven recently (December
22nd) made by Mr. E. E. Mooar,
Editor of College Sports on the
Pittsburg Dispatch, reflects very
clearly the general sentiment of un
prejudiced Pittsburgers as regards
strength of State’s team during the
past season. The fact being recogniz
ed that Penn State's eleven is the
virtual champion team of the Key
stone State —Lafayette and Swarth
more being the only aspirants to this
honor —Mr. Mooar therefore gives
to no less than four State players
positions on his first eleven, just as
Mr. Walter Camp always gives Yale
three or four men on the All-
America team when Yale wins the
gridiron championship, which, in
deed, seems to be a fair method
of selection.
As the gentleman who picked
these elevens saw State’s team play
against both the Indians and W. U.
P. he knows whereof he speaks.
The Dispatch’s All-Pennsy se
lections are as follows:
First eleven —centre, Dunn, Penn
State; guard, Kunkle, Penn State;
guard, Ziegler, Penn; tackle, Dowd,
Lafayette; tackle, Marshall, W. U.
P.; end, Burns, Penn State; end,
Perry, W. U. P.; quarter, Price,
W. & J.; half, McCleary, Penn
State; half, Mt. Pleasant, Indians;
full, Hollenback, Penn.
Second eleven —end, Coble,
Swarthmore; guard, Draper, Penn;
guard, Dillon, Indians; tackle Got
wals, Penn State; tackle, Waseuka,
Indians; end, Chalmers, Lafayette;
end, Exendine, Indians; quarter,
Swenson, W. U. P.; half, Barrett,
W. T. DUNN
THE STATE COLLEGIAN
Swarthmore; half, Sieber, Gettys
burg; full, Hirshman, Penn State.
The record achieved by each
team during the season is the only
just criterion for judging whether or
not any players from this team
should get places on such an eleven
as the All-Pennsylvania, although
when individual players show ex
ceptional ability, as Priceof W. & J.,
Sieber of Gettysburg, Perry of W
U. P., or Hollenback and Zeigler of-
Penn, it is only vatural that they
should receive most favorable notice.
