Reading Club Banquet McAllister Hall was the scene of an unusually successful banquet last Saturday evening. About twent• five students from Berks county were assembled together to partake of the "wittals" and to mingle in the good fellowship always found at such gatherings. Rentschler THE STATE COLLEGIAN COLLEGE NOTES, Dr. Alexius de Sigmond, Profes sor in the PolSrtechnicum at Buda Pesth, Hungary, visited the Experi ment Station last week. Dr. de Sigmond is Professor of Agricultural Chemistry and Technology, and has been traveling extensively in this country during the past six months, studying both educational institutions and manufacturing methods. His visit to State was for the special purpose of inspecting the Respira tion Calorimeter. Dr. H. P. Armsby left for Baton Rouge, La. on Saturday, Nov. 10, to attend the 20th annual convention of the Association of American Agricultural Colleges and Experi ment Stations which opened yester day in that city. Dr. Armsby gave a memorial address, the subject of which was "President George W. Atherton, of Pennsylvania." The Camera Club About ten men gathered last week to organize the Penn State Camera Club, a kind of organization new to State. Q. H. Martin was elected President, G. D. Barbey, Secretary and Treasurer, and a committee was appointed to draw up a constitution. This club hopes to enroll every stu dent who is in any way interested in photography. A dark room has been secured for the use of the members. With this co-operative effort a higher standard of work may be expected in the La Vies and photographic work of the future.
