Chapters of the Woman's Suffrage
League will soon be established at
al Northwestern and Chicago uni-
versities
The American Rhodes Scholars are
making a strong effort to introduce
baseball into college athletics at Oxford
University
Students of the University of Wis
consin have been burning professors in
effigy, because of the recent abolition
of football.
Northwestern athletics will here
after be primarily in charge of a faculty
member. All expenses are to be met
by gate receipts, thereby forcing the
students to pay for their own athletics.
At Minnesota the board of control
has established s special hat band to
be worn by the 'varsity men. Only
-NI" men are privilege the special de
sign adopted. This is a Princeton
custom.
Tennis is making a strong effort to
become an inter-collegiate sport. A
large number of colleges have taken
up the game as such and it appears as
if it will be still more popular next
year.
The students of Cornell University
threatened to revolt because permis
sion had been given to a trolley com
pany to lay its tracks on a street which
is on the campus. The professors
claim that the rumbling of the cars on
the present route disturbs some deli
cate instruments in the new Physics
building, but the students refuse to al
low the campus to be violated on the
ground that other i outes are to be had.
Tennis Tournament
Owing to an oversight the results
of the Tennis Tournament, were not
announced in last week's issue. Don
and Kenneth Stevenson, 'O6 and 'O9,
respectively, won the finals from
Crocker 'O6 and Patterson 'O7,
thereby winning the Stevenson
trophy this year.

The Junior relay team walked
away with the inter-class relay race
which was held on the afternoon of
Decoration Day. •In the first
quarter Montz gave the lead to Long
who in turn passed it on to Stapler,
while Henry furnished the last
quarter winning by twenty yards.
The time was 3.35.
