White & Co., New York City, is in charge of the operation of plants controlled by that company. Edwin P. Harder of the class of '95 is engineer in charge of sub stations for the Buffalo General Electric Co., Buffalo, New York. D. W. Gross, '93, Associate Member Ametican Society Civil Engineers, has been appointed En gineer of Roadway of the new Third Division of the Atlantic Coast Line with headquartets at Jacksonville, Fla. M. L. Gray, 'O4, of the Union Switch and Signal Company has re cently been given a special appoint ment on the- installmentinstallment of a new system of alternating current signals for the West Jeisey and Seashore Railroad. Gordon Weaver, 'O5, will take Mr. Gray's former position THE STATE COLLEGIAN on the installation of interlocking plants, while I. C. Minick, 'O5, will be appointed to Mr. Weaver's place as inspector of machinery and instruments. Frederick Darlington, 'B6, who is well known by his relation with the Stanley Electric Company is at present acting as special engineer for the Westinghouse Electric Company in the development of their system for the electrification of steam rail roads. Geo. M. Downing, 'BB, who for some years has been Principal of the Abington Friend's School has be come proprietor of the New Cen tury Bureau—a teachers' agency at 515 Crozier Building, Philadelphia. C. C. Chesney, 'B5, is Vice-Presi dent and Manager of the Stanley Electric Company at Pittsfield, Mass. It may be of interest to some of the younger men of the college to know that Mr. Chesney is an ex-captain of our baseball team, and was one of the best catchers ever on our diamond.
