Syracuse has organized a dramatic
club, which will present its first play
at the end of April. The proceeds
will go towards the development of
dramatic art at Syracuse.
The faculty at Chicago University
has decided that foot ball must be
suspended for two years, or that the
radical code of rules laid down by
the conference be accepted. Ac
cording to this rule training table and
training quarters must be abolished,
a professional coach must be dis
pensed with, and the season must
be shortened.
In the past two years out of over
22,000 students who played foot
ball in sixty of the most prominent
college, only 654 received injuries,
eight were injured permanently,
and three died from injuries received
in games. This will compare very
favorably with' automobiling as a
spoit. Yet no one puts up a howl
against this reckless hobby.
There is talk of Pennsylvania and
Yale renewing foot ball relations
next fall, especially if the ill feeling
between Harvard and Pennsylvania
continues.
