State C Vol. 11, No. 21 Freshman Banquet, On Friday night, March 2, the Freshman class held its banquet at the Park Hotel, Williamsport. In the afternoon a party of 30 or 40 Sophomores followed the Fresh men and posted themselves around the hotel. They stayed there till late in the evening and succeeded in catching a few Freshmen, whom they released in time for the banquet. After an impromptu “stag" in the hotel ball-room the banquet began. When the dinner had been finished toast-master Eberly called on the following men for toasts: P. B. Postelwaite, The Red and the Blue, H. A. Hey, Ambition, H. P. Reese, Athletics, G. C. Pidgeon, Our Sweethearts, E. Pitcairn, Jr., The Faculty, L. N. Skemp, Our Scraps. After the regular program “Pop” Gleason told the class how he got there, and Thomas, Atcheson, Bar nett and Bell made short addresses. “Jimmy” Sebring, who happened to be present, was then called on for a few words, and the affair wound up with the usual cheers and flash light.
