Taft of Cincin nati is the donor of the $15,000 re cently announced as an anonymous gift for an addition to the Yale In firmary. Y. M. C. A. Notes S. M. Sayford, a noted worker among college men, addressed about four hundred students in the Old Chapel on Sunday evening. He took for the basis of his remarks the man Paul and Paul’s question, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” Mr. Sayford is a “straight from-the-shoulder’’ speaker, and holds his hearers with the power of his logic and the magnetism of his personality. Such interest as he stirred up among the fellows has not been known at State in a long time. He makes one feel the littleness of life, and at the same time its op portunities and responsibilities. Mr. Sayford and State Secretary Miller continued the meeting Mon day and Tuesday evenings, and wonderful interest was exhibited on the part of students. These meet ings should have the effect of awak ening even greater interest in the work of the Association, and of causing greater desire than ever among the fellows to live manly straight-forward lives.
