    Special Entertainments.
It has been found possible to add
two entertainments of especial in
terest to the Y. M. C. A. course.
One of these will be on the evening
of the last day of examinations
(Jan. 26) and will consist of an
illustrated lecture by Edwin Emer
son, the well known war correspon
dent. Mr. Emerson was with both
the Russian and Japanese armies,
ran the blokade of Port Arthur
twice, was in the Port during the
seige and was in a Japanese prison
for some time. His sterioptican
views are remarkable.
The second entertainment is the
best thing offered in State College for
years. Mr. Jerome K. Jerome, the
the famous English humorist, will
give a humorous reading from his
own works, assisted by Mr. Charles
Battell Loomis, our American funny
man. Of course this entertainment
which is on March 2nd needs no
further comment.
Prices —Emerson’s lecture 35
cents; Jerome’s reading 50 cents.
One ticket for both 75 cents.
Reserved seats, Emerson,ls cents
extra; Jerome, 25 cents extra; both
25 cents extra.
