Mc- Geehan failed to budge State’s line on a tackle tancem play, but Slavin made it first down at end, Lacey 4, McAtleer 1. McAtleer then lost on Gotwals fine tackle, and McGeehan broke away for a 60 yard run, but was called back 30 for holding in the interference. Daniels took 3at tackle, Daniels 3 more, Slavin 1, McGeehan 1, and it was State's ball on downs. McGee took 2at centre, Fawkes 1, Partridge 5, Mc- Williams 6, McGee 3, McWilliams 10, Gotwals 1, McGee 10, Gotwals 1, Fawkes 6, and Gotwals over the line, making the score 29 to 0. And thus it remained as the punt out for goal try failed. Zink then went in for McGee. Moore kicked off to the 5 yard line and Zink showed his mettle by sprinting back 20 yards. Albert Yeckley failed at end, but Fawkes got 3at tackle, Zink 5, and on a fumble, Slavin darted away for 15 yards, Leathers bringing him down hard. With the ball on States 30 yard line matters looked serious. Slavin got 2 yards at tackle, Mc- Geehan 3 more, but Shaw threw Slavin for a loss, and McAlteer lost more on a fumble. Then McAlteer dropped back to the 30 yard mark THE STATE COLLEGIA^ and tried for a field goal. But -his attempt was poor,’ the bail bouncing over States goal line. Fawkes kick ed out from the 25 yard mark Mc- Geehan catching the ball on Villa nova’s 40 yard line. Slavin then lost at Leather’s end, and McWil liams bioke thiough on the next p’ay and downed McAlteer for a loss, af'er which McGeehan got 3 at takle, and McAlteer punted 30 yards, Leathei s plunging 15 yards on the re turn. Partridge then gained at tackle, Zink broke through for 16, Shaw 5, Albert Yecxley 25 around end on a beautiful run. Gotwals 11, Zink- 8, but Referee Robison called him back and gave Villanova 15 yards for State’s “holding,” thus spoiling the chance for another. score. With a grand plunge Zink got through for 12 on the next trial, but Fawkes failed to advance on a fake kick, and it was Villanova’s ball. On a double pass Leathers downed them for 3 yards loss, McAlteer lost at Campbell’s end, and then punted 30 yards, Yeckley being downed in his tracks. McWilliams- gained 6 at tackle, Zink 6 through center and Fawkes 4at end. “Time;” and the game ended with the ball on Villa nova’s 15 yard line. The score. Musical Clubs Re-organized At a meeting cf the Glee Club and Orchestra on Tuesday evening, Oct; 24, plans for the year were discussed and the following officers were elect ed ; R. J. Smith, 'O7, manager; N. R. Wright, ’OB, assistant manager; F. E. Wilber, treasurer. It is expected that a trip will be taken just before the Christmas va cation and perhaps one during the Easter vacation. Regular rehearsals are being held with this end in view.
