The President announced in Chapel last Monday that the Seniors appoint two men to deliver addresses as part of the celebrations for Lin coln Day which is always observed here. As yet the class has not met to take action. The local Experiment Station had exhibits at the Chester county agri cultural association exhibition, at the Fair of the Centre County Agricul tural Exhibiting Company at Belle fonte, and at the Encampment and Exhibition of the Patrons of Hus bandry of Central Pennsylvania at Centre Hall. THE STATE COLLEGIAN James Hammond, ex-’O6, is in business in Altoona. He will not return to college. The main section of the agricul tural building is assuming a good appearance. The building will be finished in good time for Commence ment. The direct cuirent electrical labora tory equipment has been increased by the addition of a four pole West inghouse machine of twenty K. W. capacity. H. E. Diller, ex-’OO, is with the Western Electric Company, and will have charge of the Electrical Testing Laboratory as soon as it is completed. Prof. Surface delivered a lecture before the Natural History Club on Wednesday of last week. The sub ject of his address was the “Eco nomic Value of Birds and Insects.” Lantern slides were used to illus trate the lecture.
