Debating Club The Debating club met in room 367 on Saturday evening last and re ceived the names of men who will enter the trials which will be held on Oct. 28th for the purpose of select ing two debating teams: one to rep resent State against Swarthmore at State College about the middle of December, and a second to debate at Juniata College. The date for this latter debate has not yet been decided upon. The challenge from Juniata College is to our second team so that two teams must be chosen on Oct. 28th. However, a number of men have entered and there will probably be no lack of > ood mate rial. Prof. F. M Webster formerly of Illinois University and now special ist on grass insects at U. S. Depart ment of Agriculture at Washington, visited the College last Friday and Saturday for the purpose of locating on the college farm an experimental test on the effects of the Hessian Fly on wheat. He has started a line of these tests extending over the Eastern part of the country from Main to Georgia with three located in Pennsvlvania. H.
