Mr. John Hamilton, 71, a former State Secretary of Agriculture, now of the Department of Agriculture at Washington, was then introduced. He spoke on The Relation of the Col lege to Military Education. The last regular speaker of the af ternoon was Mr. John I. Thomson, ’62, the Book Keeper of the College who spoke on the subject of the State Col lege and the Military Service. The meeting was very interesting on the whole and some facts in connection with State College that will long be remembered were brought out. The speaches will be published by the Col lege in pamphlet form for State sup porters. The winners of the White and Car negie Scholarships Will be announced at the regular Ccmmencement ex ercises tomorrow morning. Owing to the fact that the Carnegie Scholar ships were established just last Janu ary, the interest accrued from the prin cipal has reached only forty-five dol lars for each scholarship, the regular being $lOO. There are four Carnegie Scholarships for each of the three up per classes of one hundred dollars each, one White Sophomore Scholarship of one hundred dollars, one in the Junior class of one hundred and fifty dollars and one in the Senior class of two hun dred dollars.
