Excavations for the new hotel
have begun at last.
About ninety fellows are now
boarding at McAllister Hall.
Alex Hart, ’O5, saw the relay
races at Philadelphia last Saturday.
W. Y. Heaton, ’O6, attended the
Relay Races at Philadelphia last
Saturday.
Mrs. John Lowe, of Pittsburg,
visited her son W. D. Lowe, ’O6,
last week.
Mrs. G. W. Atherton gave a re
ception to the Woman’s Club on
Saturday last.
Prof, and Mrs. F. E. Pattee en
tertained the Junior orators last
Saturday evening.
Mr. Sanders’ lecture scheduled
for last Monday evening has been
postponed one week.
The sod being placed around the
McAllister Hall adds greatly to the
appearance of the building.
Rev. Mr. Smith of Warren, Pa ,
will visit the College and address
the student body in the Auditorium
on Sunday, May 28.
All Catholics are requested to at
tend a meeting of the Catholic Club
Friday evening, May sth at 7 o’clock,
in room 115, main.
Prof. Harding lectured to the
members of the Mining Engineering
Society last Friday evening on Bitu
minous Coal Washing.
Groninger, who plays third base
for West Point and made two hits
and scored their only run against us
last week, was a student here two
years ago.
Prof I. L. Foster acted as judge
in the last of a series of inter
scholastic debates which took place
last week betweeen the Erie and
Bradford High School at Bradford,
Pa.
Without knowing it Billy Yoder
carried with him to Carlisle, a ten
pound dumb bell which some one had
placed in his suitcase. Rather than
carry it along the remainder of the
trip Billy donated it to the Dickin
son gymnasium.
We are proud of the baseball
team; we want to know the result
of every game played away from
home as soon as possible, and, win
or lose, we hope that we will not
again be compelled to wonder for a
whole day about the score, as was
the case after the Manhattan game.
