THE STATE COLLEGIAN The Thespians Play The Thespians, the dramatic or ganization of the College, made their first appearance of the year in the Auditorium last Saturday even ing in “The Boomerang,” a four act comedy. A large and apprecia tive audience witnessed the per formance. The play is filled with funny situations, and is of a nature to bring out the very best acting of each individual. E. G. Bashore ’O5 as leading man takes the part of Courtney Corliss successfully, while J. F. Johnson ’O5 is characteristical ly, good as Launcelot Bargiss, a liter ary aspirant. Of the others, Heinrich ’O5 as the Italian Palmiro, and Fit zimons ’O5 as Jessie, a maid, were very natural in their parts. On the whole it was a good per formance and compares very favor ably with the previous presentations of the organization. The Thespians left Monday morn ing on a trip to include Hollidays burg and Tyrone, and will play in Bellefonte next Monday evening. The young people of Hollidaysburg gave a reception and dance in honor of the college men and from all ac counts it was a very enjoyable affair. The boys returned to college yes terday.
