    "Pop” Golden to Stay.
The clipping from the Police Ga
zette printed in the Collegian of
last week conveyed the impression
that Mr. Golden had applied for the
position of football coach at Purdue
University. Mr. Golden wishes that
impression to be corrected. About
ten years ago hehel d the Physical Di
rectorship at Purdue and conse
quently is well known there. When
Cutts the presept coach, handed in
his resignation, the Athletic Com
mittee offered the position to Mr.
Golden and even paid his fare out
to look things over. Mr. Gold
en, however, is well satisfied here
and until an offer is made that will
be more decidedly to his advantage
than his present position, he. will
continue to act as Physical Director
at State.
