    State 34, Altoona A. A. 18.
State’s basketball team met the
Altoona Athletic Association t2am in
the College’Armory on Friday even
ing, January 20, defeating the visiting
five decisively by the score of 34 to
18. The game was hotly contested
from start to finish, notwithstanding
the fact that State was always in the
lead. Captain Dunn played h:s
usual strong game for State, although
he was unfortunate in missing all
goals from fouls. Hargraves played
the best game for Altoona. About
the'iniddle of the second half Burnes
was substituted for Yeckley, who
had played a magnificent game, and
later Caswell and Quigley were tried
out in place of Foltz and Moorhead.
Altoona made no substitutions.

in the Engineering ' Building last
Wednesday evening. The following

Westinghouse Crane Motors,” by
Lee Adams, ’O6; “Electrolytic
Preparation of White Lead,” by T.
H. Arnold, ’os,and “ A Description
of the Westinghouse Air Brake,” by
Wm. Kaiser, ’O5. An assesmentof
fifty cents was made to cover ex
penses for the winter term.
