Base Ball
In response to a call for candi
dates for the baseball team, about
sixty men congregated in the Armory
on Saturday afternoon Jan. 14 and
after a little systematizing, the first
practice of the season was indulged
in. Of last year’s team, eight men
were in evidence: Mcllveen, More
head, Kilmer, Haverstick, Forkum,
Newton, Mason, and Ray. Among
the wealth of new material quite a
a number showed up prominently
and there should be no difficulty in
choosing a strong combination. It is
expected that a professional coach
will be on hand in a few weeks to
take charge of the work.
The schedule for the coming sea
son is not yet complete, but the fol
lowing is a list of the games arranged
to date. It is subject to change as
the Faculty committee has not as
yet given its approval.
