    Jacob A. Riis.
Before a large audience in the Audi
torium last Thursday evening, Jacob
A. Riis, the widely known social re
former, gave a lecture on “The Bat
tle with the Slums.” Lantern slides
were used to illustrate the address.
Owing to Mr. Riis’ Danish accent,
which somewhat hindered his articu
lation, those in the rear of the hall
found it difficult to hear. Other
wise the lecture was very interesting
and highly instructive.
A Correction.
Owing to a mistake in proof read
ing last week the names of King and
Slader were omitted from the list of
candidates for Assistant General
Athletic Manager. The complete
list should read:
A. M. Gardner, ’O6
0. F. Noss, ’O7
M. B. King, ’O7
W. A. Slader, ’O7
