Dr. Charles C. Harrison, perman
ent chairman of the Rhodes scholar
ships committee of the state of
Pennsylvania, has received word
from the trustees of the will of the
late C. J. Rhodes, that the qualify
ing examination for the scholarships
in the state of Pennsylvania for 1905
will be held in January, 1905.
Dr. Harrison announces the ap
pointment of the new committee for
Pennsylvania, of which he himself is
the permanent chairman, the object
being to each year change the mem
bership of the committee so that all
important educational institutions in
Pennsylvania may be represented on
it from year to year. The com
mittee for 1905 consists of President
Isaac Sharpless, of Haverford col
lege: President John H. Harris, of
Bucknell university; President Ed
ward, of Lafayette college, and
President Isaac C. Ketler, of Grove
City college.
