McAllister hall.
The new dormitory which was
described in the first number of the
State Collegian has been named
McAllister Hall in honor of Mr.
McAllister, father-in-law of Gen.
Beaver. Mr. McAllister was one
of the most active men in the work
of getting the land grant for this
college.
We are authoritatively informed
that the dining room in McAllister
Flail will not be managed directly
REPUBLICAN CLUB.
Wm. T. Kelsh, a graduate of the
University of Pennsylvania, and
president of the Pennsylvania
Reague of College Republican clubs,
addressed the members of the local
Republican club last Monday even
ing. Methods of conducting the club
were discussed and a permanent or
ganization was started. Mr. Kelsh
stated that similar clubs were being
started in nearly all the universi
ties and colleges in the State. Ben
Curry was elected president with
Offut and Krone as vice president
and secretary respectively. A con
stitution will be adopted later.

with the expectation and require
ment that he shall furnish good
board at a reasonable rate. It is
possible, also, that arrangements
will be made in such a way that
different tables or roups may have
different service, with rates to cor
respond. It is expected that all
the waiter service will be done by
students, thus furnishing employ
ment for a considerable number.
