On Tuesday, April 19th, a game was played with Fordham Col
lege. Last year’s work of the State team on the same field was
fresh in the minds of the boys, and each entered his position with
determination. The game was very exciting throughout, but tire
cool headed work of Haverstick with the never-failing help of his
suporters brought another victory. The last inning seemed as if
it would be a treacherous one, for two men gained bases and
none out. Then the grandstand was livened up with music, sing
ing and acornet. The “midget” said he always could pitch to
Irish music, and ended the game by catching a pop-fly, and
fanning out the next two. The score:
