    State, 42 —Bellefonte Academy, 7.
The basket ball season at Slate opened on Thursday evening,
February nth, by a game with Bellefonte Academy. The game
was fast and well contested. Six fouls were called on the Acad
emy and five on State. Sharpe put up his usual game, but his
team was poor, in shooting. The line-up follows:

Dunn attack Landers.
Yeckley center Sharpe.
Kilmer defense N. Weaver.
Heaton defense Burns.

The basket ball team won two out of four games on the eastern
trip and scored 102 points against its opponents 83. The two
games won were college games.
The Williamsport game was hotly contested. Slate was in the
lead until the end of the first half, but in the second the Y. M.
C. A. men roughed in the points to secure the game at a score of
i6-ro. Dunn scored all the points for State. The line-up:
