been postponed.

several days at Harrisburg last week investigating the street
lighting of that city.

were made by President Geo. W. Atherton, Mr. W. J. Miller,

—A sacred concert was held in the old college chapel Sunday
evening, December 20th. The college choir, the college orchestra
and the Cecilian quartette, under the direction of Miss Helen H.
Atherton, were the performers. It was designed to use the audi

boiler room not enough power could be generated to light the large
building, and the old place of assemblage was utilized instead.
—The calorimeter test for the year will begin December 29th.
The respiratory calorimeter was erected by the Agricultural De

in the country. The first experiment with it was made last year,
and was successful in every way. It is in winter time that it is
put into operation, as only at that time of the year can temperature
conditions be regulated satisfactorily.
