STATE, 13-WILLIAMSPORT Y. M. C. A., 9.
The Williamsport Y. M. C. A. basket ball team came to State,
March Igth, to again try conclusions with State's team. The
game drew a large crowd, for it was well known that there would
be a great struggle for supremacy. , Rarely before has there been
such enthusiastic cheering at a basket ball game here as the stu
dents gave at this one. There was something to cheer for. The
score fluctuated ; first one side was ahead, then the other, and
again there was a tie.
The game was very, fast, and full of good plays and rough en
counters. Some one was heard to say, "I thought basket ball
was a slow game, but ." There was no lagging, and State's
men had some trouble in getting clear of the Y. M. C. A. men.
State's superiority is shown by the score, and this time thirteen
was the lucky, ,number.
