—The delegates to the Y. M. C. A. Convention held at Lebanon,
Pa., gave a very favorable report. The report showed that the
young men of Pennsylvania, especially the college men, are
steadily increasing their activity in Y. M. C. A. work. . Let it be
hoped that "State" may b as active and aggressive along this line
as she is along all other lines.
. -The following officers of the Y. M. C. A. were elected for the
ensuing year : President, Norman Miller ; Vice-President, P. M.
Rainey ; Secretary, W. R. Gorham ; Treasurer, J. J. Morgan.
—"House cleaning" is in progress in the Natural History
Museum. All the specimens are being cleaned and rearranged in
the case in a more systematic order.
—During the absence of Dr. Frear on a lecturing tour, Mr. M
S. McDowell taught his classes.
—The committee for the Junior Assembly is as follows : Do
worth, McCune, Considine, Wray, McKnight, Shearer, and Ho
bl,itzell.
Hrhe cadets have begun target practice. Up to this time the
Freshmen are in the lead. H. J. Stump, 'o6, made twenty-three
points ont of a possible twenty-five. T. A. Swartz, 'O5, made
twenty-two out of a possible twenty-five. Chas. Armsby, 'O4,
made twenty out of a possible twenty-five.
—The order of the Commencement orators is as follows :
Becker, Dennington, Snyder, Tuholski, Taylor. The order of the
Junior speakers is as follows : Bomberger, Elder, Lyons, Rentsch
ler.
—La Vie Board expects to have everything in ship shape, and
the book goes to press promptly on April 15th.
—Target practice was held the last few weeks of the winter
session instead of the usual• drill. The exercises consisted of
"sighting and aiming" and target practice. Each Sophomore and
