made by Miller at second. This, however, was excusable, for he was playing out of his regular position for the first time this season. Landis bad the misfortune to have a fin ger broken and a thumb dislocated, but he pluckily played the game through. McCreary started the game well, but alter the fourth inning - he was hit freely. On May 16th State played the Pennsylvania Military College at Chester. There was but a small attendance and the game was a very one-sided affair. The cadets should have been shut out, but in the third inning the combination of two bases on balls, a wild throw, a hit, a fumble, and a wild pitch resulted in three runs for the Chester boys. Their run getting stopped here, though. State made four runs in the first inning, and kept on making scores through out the g - ame, with the exception or the fourth inning. Barring one wild pitch, Shoop pitched a good game. NORMAI, Woodward, 2b. Irwin, c D. Mi’er McCreary, p.. Smith, rf Zuliclc, 3b.,.,. Glieen, If Graybill, 1b,.. R.
