The next two games resulted in defeat for State. In the
Dickinson game, as may be seen, Sharpe pitched better ball
than Hunt, but this alone could not win the game. In the
game with the Indians the score might have been different
had not Miller, of State been compelled to retire from the
box on account of weakness from recent illness.
