series of articles on representative types of American Litera
ture. The first of the series, an article on Longfellow's
"Evangeline," appeared in the January number.
The new calorimeter which i, under construction at the
Experiment Station for special government work, will have
its temperature regulated by means of electrical heaters. A
small generator and gas engine for furnishing the necessary
power has already been installed.
"The Feast of the Sports" will be held in the Armory,
Jan. 26, for the benefit of the Base Ball Team. Supper will
be furniShed, after which dancing will be in order. The
State College 13and and the Mandolin Club will furnish the
music. An enjoyable time is assured, so all come and help
the Pall Team.
The State College Literary Club held its regular monthly
meeting at the home of Prof. E. W. Runkle, Monday even
ing, San. Bth., a paper entitled "Confession arid the Confes
sional" was read by Dr. Runkle.
