Dr. Frear and Messrs Fries and Hess have departed on their lecturing tour to different parts of the State. The popularitiof Prof. Pattee's school edition of Macbeth has led his publishers to request of him a similar edition of the Merchant of Venice. The American Journal of Psychology recently published the review by Professor Runkle of a work of psychological interest: Studien über Hysterie-Breuer and Freud. Prof. Gill received from Boston, recently, a part of the libra ry of his father-in-law, the late Rev. Joseph Whitman. The library comprises between two and three hundred volumes. Mr. T. C. Hopkins, late Asst. Professor of Geology at State College, is at present engaged in pursuing a course of graduate studies at Chicago University. ' Catalogues, price lists and blue prints of great value have been donated to the Senior Mining Engineering students by over thirty-one different manufacturers of mining machinery and sup plies. A number of newly bound magazines have been placed hi the cases in the Engineering library. At a recent meeting of the Scientific Association, the follow ing officers were elected for the ensuing year:--President, Prof. J. P. Jackson; Vice Presidents, Prof. F. E. Foss, Prof. F. L. Pattee, and Prof. M. C. Ihlseng - ; Secretary and Treasurer, Asst. Prof. W. H. Towle. If it can be satisfactorily arranged, Manager Sassier will offer a series of Lectures and Concerts to be given in the College Chapel. Tickets for the course will cost $l.OO, reserved seats $1.50.
