W. F. White, who has been Vice President and General
Manager for the past five years of the New Omaha, Thompson,
Houston F i lectric Light Co., Omaha, Neb., has recently been el
ected President and General Manager of that company.
Mr. C. M. H. Atherton, a graduate of the Chemistry course
of the College, has been engaged as General Assistant in the
Chemical Laboratories, from January 1, 1900, through the re
mainder of the present College year.
Dr. H. H. Glosser visited the College during- the first part of
the week of November 16.
Mr. Howard Jones spent a few days at the College recently,
while on his way to Swissville, Pa., where he will take charge
of the Union Switch and Signal Company.
Mr. Joseph Thompson recently spent a few day visiting
friends here.
Mr. W. H. Thompson has been appointed to act as substitute
for Mr. Hess at the Xxperiment Station, during the latters ab
sence at the farmer's institutes.
W. D. Stevenson and John Nubert, made a brief visit at the
College during the Thanksgiving recess. Mr. Stevenson is in
the employ of the Fort Wayne and Chicago Railroad, and Mr.
Nubert, of the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad.
They both seemed well pleased with their positions.
