losing one game out of five is a pretty fair record. The last
game, at Bucknell, was given to the opponents by the score of 9-o
when the score stood at 6-4 in
more
favor, and inasmuch as
scores, actual scores, speak more loudly than the idle mind of an
umpire who will give a man his base on balls when but one ball
has been pitched to the batter, we were in reality the victors

Lafayette defeated us because of the reservation of the team
for the next day at Princeton and Seton Hall tied because the
rules of the college interfered with the progress of the game.
But the interest of the trip centered in the Princeton game. They
evidently hadn't recovered from the scare we gave them last year
in foot ball, and then our team played ball with their hands, feet,
and mouths, the last being an important factor.
