Perhaps some of your readers may be interested in the work some of State's recent graduates are doing out here in the Mis sissippi Valley. • The writer was the first man from Penn'a State to commence work for the. Illinois Central Railroad under their Track Appren tice System (which was fully outlined in an issue of the LANcs last year by Mr. Mallory), he was followed by R. S. Moore, '97, and when the Class of '9B graduated, Espenshade, Keenan, Kennedy, Morgan and Moser started in. After various periods spent at labor on the tracks the men were promoted to better positions in the' Engineering Depart ment, and at the present time hold positions as follows: Morgan and Espenshade are connected with the Eng.
