BYRON W. KING, Principal of the Byron W. King School of Oratory, assisted by his wife, the " Queen " of Elocutionists, entertained a large audience in the College Chapel, Saturday evening, June 'loth. The audience was a very attentive one, and both speakers were heartily applauded. This is the second time the Y. M. C. A. has secured his services, and each time his hear ers have given him the highest praise: On June 7th the local society, Phi Delta Epsilon was initiated as the Kappa Chapter into the general fraternity of the Phi Sigma Kappa. The initiation ceremonies were conducted by Dr. John A. Cutter of New York City, and after the initiation a banquet was held in their chapter house. The Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity was founded at the Massa chusetts Agricultural College in 1873. The insignia of the Fraternity are an onyx ring upon which is engraved their arbi trary characters resembling T's, and a monogram badge of the Greek letters P. 27. K. On Monday night of Commencement week after the Junior Ora torical Contest, the following Fraternities tendered a reception to their many friends at their respective chapter houses—Beta Theta Pi, Sigma Chi, Kappa Sigma, Phi Kappa Sigma, and Phi Sigma Kappa.
