Col. Hiram Young then responded with a toast to the College, and was followed by a few remarks from Mr. A. A. Patterson, president of the Alumni Association. H. P. Wood, '99, then re sponded for his class by describing the troubles of the past four years, and expressing their hopes for the future. The concluding speech was by Dr. Atherton who outlined the past, present, and future work of the college. On Tuesday evening the Thespians gave a presentation of " The School for Scandal "in the college chapel. The play was given before a large audience and was well received, although many in the audience had attended when it was given in the Winter term. There was a noticeable improvement in some of the players since then, while a few had deteriorated.
