chided Adams, " you know how far five hundred a year will go
here."
" Adams," said Creighton curiously, " may I ask who this
White was ? Was it Morris ? " Adams nodded without speaking.
" And Brown —."
" Was myself."
There was a silence for some time, which was finally broken
by Creighton.
" Fellows," he said, " I'm going up and apologize to Morris.
Are any of you going along?"
And they all left the room together.
THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
T" Board of Trustees of the College held its regular semi
annual meeting at Harrisburg on Thursday, January 2 6th.
All of the officers of the Board were re•elected for the en
suing year. They are Gen. J. A. Beaver, president; John Hamil
ton, treasurer, and Dr. Geo. W. Atherton, secretary. The
members of the Executive Committee—Messrs. Beaver, Wood
ward, Gordon, '66, Hiester, '6B, and Atherton—and those con
stituting the Experiment Station Advisory Committee—Messrs.
Woodward, Mylin, Herr, Downing, and Atherton—were also re
elected..
The Board decided that in the future all members of the regular
foot ball or base ball' teams shall not be required to pay the
prescribed gymnasium fee. Prof. Foss of the Department of
Civil Bingineering was authorized to expend all money appropri
ated to his department during the year, aside from that necessary
to meet the running expenses, in the equipment of a hydraulic
'laboratory. It was also decided that the annual report of the
