side had scored although the Sophs had played the better game.
The second half ended with the ball near the centre line and with
the score unchanged. A third half of ten minutes was then
played, in which the Sophomores, through Scholl's excellent work
advanced the ball to within a few yards of the Freshmen's goal
before time was called. It was then decided, to allow the Fresh
men to carry canes during the Spring term, the decision having
been reached after considerable wrangling and discussion.
