After several gains of• three and .five yards, Hewitt, who had been substituted for Hayes, went around the right end for 18 yards. The interference was excellent. After K.:Core had tackled Randolph for a 5 yard loss, State lost the ball at the centre of the field on downs. Collins went around the right 'end for 12 yards, and the ball was carried by successive gains to State's 20-yard line.
