Frank Wolley, an insurance agent of Wilmington, Del., visited the College at the opening of the term and mani fested considerable interest in the changes which had been made during his absence of nineteen years. ’B9. J. S. Weller has received the nomination for the office of Republican' State Senator from the Bedford-Fulton-Somerset dis trict of Penn’a. ’B9. Miss F. B. Meek who took a post graduate Course in Biology here last year is now engaged by the College as an in structor in Biology. ’9O. Potter M. Brown was married to Miss Jodie Dee Burle son on September 14th at The Oaks, Plum Tree, N. C., the resi dence of the bride’s parents. ’92. Prof. John F. Shields late of the Adelphi College and Academy is in the Mathematical Department of State. ’92. M. S. McDowell has returned to the Experiment Station as an assistant chemist after having been with Elk Tanning Co. of Ridgway, Pa., for several years. ’93. It was with great regret that we recently learned that R. W. Williamson, one of the first of our boys to join the volunteer army, lies seriously ill with fever at Dexington, Ky. According to the latest information received by us, the chances of his re covery are becoming brighter. He enlisted as a private in Co, A,, sth Pa. Vol. In. ’94. J. M. Brewer, who since last April has been a member of Co. K, 2d Ph. Vol. In., is making an attempt to join the regu lar army. ’94. Boyd A. Musser was married on August 15th to Miss Anna M. Macßride, ’96, of Wilson College, at the home of Mr. D. H. Boulton of Franklin, Pa. ’95. W. P. Smiley, for some time instructor in Chemistry here and later a chemist in the employ of the Ohio Steel Co., is now engaged by the Colliery Engineer Co. of Scranton, Pa., in the Correspondence School Department.
