    the spurt at the examination, at the final moment, which is to
bring him the best results but the steady application throughout
the year of even his moderate abilities to the subject in hand.
And it is this very ability to keep steadily and intelligently at it
which is one of the strongest traits necessary in a student, which
a college course is intended to develop, and which points most
clearly to the best and happiest termination of a life.
And now as we extend a heartfelt farewell to the class of ’9B
we cannot but hope that they have had instilled into themselves
the true spirit regarding study, that an equally true and loyal
regard has arisen within them for their Alma Mater and that they
will live up to the examples set before them while in college,
and by their lives gather fame unto themselves and add glory to
the name of State. To ’9B again farewell.
