’B7, Mr. W. F. White, an editor of the first volume of the
IyANCE, visited the college in the latter part of last month. He is
a stockholder in the Omaha Electric Eight Company, Nebraska,
and has come East for the purpose of purchasing machinery to
supply power for 20,000 additional lights.
’9O, Mr. George R. Meek, of Bellefonte, attended the Military
Hop on April 30.
’92, Mr. Willis McKee spent a few days in town last week. He
is employed as assistant principal at the Mt. Carmel High School.
’92, Mr. Nelson McA. Kloyd, editor-in-chief of The Free
Eance from 1891 to 1892, is on the New York Sun staff.
’93, Mr. F. F. Weld left for Martha’s Vineyard a short time
ago to join the U. S. Coast Survey. He will be engaged all sum
mer on the New England coast.
’93, Mr. M. E. McDonnell has been engaged by the State De
partment of Agriculture to make a bacteriological examination of
the milk supply of certain prominent market centers in Pennsyl
vania. He has devoted considerable attention to bacteriology for
some time past, and has been acting as instructbr in that depart
ment in the college. The results will doubtless be of great inter-
