Dickinson gave State a hard tussle on Beaver Field, October
loth. It was only Penn. State's way of pulling games out of the
fire which made the contest result with the above score. Dickin
son this season undoubtedly has the best team in the history of
foot ball at that institution. State's team showed very little im
provement in team-work over previous games. Hayes' punting
was a feature. As usual Curtin and Dunsmore played a star
game. The contest was interesting throughout, and there was a
decided contrast between the deportment of Dickinson's team and
that of the W. U. of P. on the preceding Saturday. The teams
