The football season of ninety-five has added materially to the
reputation of State’s football teams. Although our scores with
weaker teams have been somewhat disappointing, yet the season
as a whole has done more to establish us as second to Pennsyl
vania in the middle Atlantic States than any season has in the
past.
No one can dispute the fact that we put up the strongest game of
college football against Pennsylvania on her home grounds. This
game and the tie game played on Cornell’s home grounds excited
considerable attention in football circles, and each was widely com
mented upon by the newspapers of the Past.
At no other time in our history have we received the recognition
of merit that this season has gained for us. The unfortunate
