Suppose you did leave. the shovel in the bin
last spring and the coal man has dumped seven
tons of coal on top of it, what good does it do a
woman to keep reminding you of the fact.
A Sophomore bold and careless and gay,
One afternoon of a winter day,
Nixed himself up and went to a play,
It was Richard 111. and a matinee.
The Sophomore sat in the front parquet,
All was serene as a day in May,
Until Ring Richard began to pray,
"A horse! a horse !" in a faithful way.
When the Sophomore sprang from his seat they say,
And cried, the poor king's fears to allay,
get you a horse without delay,

The mile walk has been dropped from the list
of track events by Yale and Harvard. The rea
sons were two,—the time consumed, and the dis-
tress caused to those taking part in this event.
A religiously inclined student was found por
ing over a Bible one day and industriously mak
ing notes. After several hours he laid down the
book with a sigh of relief. "Well, have you
found much consolation !" asked his chum. "Yes,
much," he responded. "You know I failed to
pass last term. Well, look here," and he shoved
the paper across the

countenance won for him the pleasant nickname .
