Again Pennsylvania State College has met her rival, and the day is ours. On Saturday morn ing, May Gth, Bucknell's team came up to play our boys, and were administered a defeat by the score of 10-2. Our boys treated us to a surprise party, playing excelletit ball all through the game. Both teams were somewhat weak at the bat. Un• fortunately the crowd was not at all large, and after our team began to pile up runs in the sixth inning, enthusiasm lagged. • Bucknell has a good battery in Smith and Barclay. Bourne and Parker also did very good work for her. For P. S. C. Ather ton and Hartswick worked well in the points, while Buzard, Mackey, and Matter') did some fine all around playing. Mackey and Mattern did some exceptionally fine base running, the• former having five stolen bases. We return the game on May 3oth, and from all accounts, we may expect a much closer contest.
