Quigley, A. F. Damon, W. M: Dickinson. —The Gun Club meets every Wednesday after noon and are now shooting clay pigeons. The members are Prof. H. J. Waters, D. W., Gross, F. F. Weld, J. E. Quigley and J. G. Walsh. —The orators selected for the Junior contest are A. G. Guyer, L. W. Mattern, Roger Bowman, B. A. Musser, AV B. Waite and W. A. Silliman; alternates W. H. Rebhun and F. K Mattern. --The contest of the class nines for the Prof. H. J. Waters' cup has been delayed by the weath er and match games, so that only one game has been played. The Seniors defeated the Juniors by a score of 17 to 8. —The annual inter-class athletic contest to be hell during commencement week, bids fair to be quite interesting. Messers H. P Douler E. J. Ha ley are at work on the programs and promise quite a i elaborate and complete affair. —A dynamo which was designed and construc ted by S. H. Brown, '93 and C. S. Green, P G. is row being tested in the Electrical Engineering laboratory. It will be exhibited and used at the World's Fair, after which it will be used in the pl , ysical laboratory for electrolysis. "Duetches Spraches Verein" has been or gauized among the Sophomores taking German. The club meets every Thursday evening and the speaking of German is encouraged by severely dealing with all who would converse in any other tongue while at the meeting. The members are Chas. The Adelphi club gave its first cotillion in the Bush Arcade, Bellefonte, Pa., Friday evening, April zo. It was one of the first social events of the season. The patronesses were, Mrs. John H. Orvis and Mrs. D. IL Hastings, of Bellefonte; Mrs. Wm. Simpson, of Lock Haven; and Mrs. F. W. Kinkaid, of State College. —"The '96 Camera Club" is a recent organi zation composed of members of the Freshman class. The officers are F. W. Jessop, president ; W. A. Lyon, secretary ;J. Dunsmore, treasurer ;R. A. Klock, marshal. The other members are C. S. Gingrich, Windsor Hawley, J. M. McKibben, W. E. Snyder, John R. Eyer, Chas. Thomas and W. D. A banquet. was served at one o'clock. —The following athletic team has been entered to represent State College at the Swarthmore meet May 20,—Fisher, shot and hammer; Connelly, hurdle, running high and running broad jump; Caughey, pole vault ; Brown, I mile walk ; ‘Vhite, 220 yds. dash, 440 yds. dash, 5 mile and t mile run ; Scott, y, mile and t mile run ; .McFarland, 2 mile bicycle; and Dowler, 16 lb. hammer. It is expected that Fisher, if in good health, • will take two special medals in the shot and hammer. Trainer Hoskins expects State to take second place at this meet. The team is daily improving under his careful management.
