College with the intention of raking, for a few
maths, a course of study in the chemistry of
'B4. J. W. Reeves has removed from Hunting•
don, Pa., where he was in charge of the electric
lighting of the State Reformatory, to Tyrone, hav
ing accepted the superintendancy of the plant of
the City Light and Power Co., of that place.
'B3. Rev. W. C. Calder who delivered a lecture
in the College chapel, Feb. sth, for the benefit of
the Athletic Association, will return to Bhamo,
Upper Burma, to continue his missionary work,
in May.
'7B. Prof. C. F. Reeves, of Allentown, New
Jersey, spent several weeks at the College during
the past month in the interests ofthe insurance
company which he represents.
'62. Dr. T. P. Walker died at Dunbar, Fayette
County, on lan. Bth. Dr. Walker was well known
among the Alumni and we copy the following
brief sketch of his life from the record of that body.

bar Iron Co., Dunbar, Pa.
'77. Professor of Chemistry, Chicago Medical

the time of his death.

Benjamin C. Elliott, a former student of the
College, is at present in the employ of the Phila
delphia and Reading R. R., in Philadelphia.
—We regret to announce that Geo. E. Schu
maker a former student of State College, died at
Cave Forge, Pa., on. Jan. 18th, in the 39th year of
his age.
George W. Creswell, formerly of .'93, was
married to Miss Mary Cooper, of Ithica, N. Y.,
on February 19th. Mr. and Mrs. Creswell will
be "At Home" after March 15th, at their resi•
deuce, Na. 3630 Chestnut street, Philadelphia.
Mr. Milton W. Bohn, who was for a number
of years instructor in the Preparatory Department
and who gave up that position to engage in the
slate business in Altoona, was married on Thurs
day evening, February c all, at Altoona, to Miss
Charlotte Ake of that city. Mr. and Mrs. Bohn
will make that place their residence for a time,
but expect to move to Norfolk, Virginia, in the
course of the present year.
—On Thursday . evening, Jan. 14th, Mr. F. L.
Olds who has been connected with the College for
a number of years as architect, was married to Miss
Mary Talbot at the residence of her parents, No.
170 West 81st street, New York City. After a tour
through the South, Mr. and Mrs. Olds returned on
January 27th, to their home in State College. On
Thursday evening, January 28th, they were tend
ered a reception by Miss Olds at which the follow
ing members of our College community were pres
ent: Prof. and Mrs. Davis, the Misses Davis,
Prof. and Mrs. Pemberton, Miss Pemberton, Mrs.
Atherton, Miss McElwain, Miss Willard, Lieut
