The state association of college football teams met at Harrisburg, January 9th, and awarded the pennant to the State College, The meeting was held at the Lochiel hotel, and the colleges were represented as follows: J. M. Wolfe, C. E. Fol mer, C. W. Allen, Bucknell ; F. N. Carr, Swarth more ; B. Griffith, A. B. 13auman, Franklin and Marshall ; A. C. McCrea, Dickinson ; J. P. Palen, Haverf,rd ; R. \V, Williamson, C. 11. i le, J. F. Shields, State College. In th 2 ab,ence of President Irvine, \Villiam Griffith, of Franklin and Marshall, presided. After hearing the treasurer's report, which showed the finances to lie in an excellent condition, the secretary was called upon to report the club standing, which he d ill in tabulated form. The Franklin and Marshall versus Dickinson game which was to have been played on Novem ber iSth was decided a draw. The Dickinson versus State College game, of November aoth, which was to have been played at Altoona, was declared forfeited to State Col lege, Dickinson not having put in an appearance. 'l'his decision also carried with it the expulsion of Dickinson from the association. Dickinson claimed that the State College had agreed to pay expenses at Altoona and then went back on the agreement, but it was shown that this defense on Dickitron's part had not been made within the legal time previous to the day set for the game, and that Dickinson evidently had no intention of playing, as it neglected to answer the correspon dence relating to referees and other matters, There was no election of officers, the rules stipula ting that the Athletic associations of the first four winning colleges shall choose the officers. Under this rule the State College is entitled to the pres- LANCE. THE FRE iiency, Bucknell to the vice presidency, Swarth more to the secretary, and Franklin and Marshall to the treasurer, A committee consisting of Messrs. Wolfe, Bau man, Carr, Shields and Collins was appointed to revise the constitution, and the sum of $5O was voted to purchase a pennant for the champion team. According to the decision of to-day's meeting the standing of the clubs is as follows : The membership will not be increased and Dickinson will remain out.
